Dave visits a new business that uses sound to improve your mental state

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – If you’re looking for someone who knows sound……Jennifer Kearns has “got you covered!”

Kearns, a Kentucky native, is relatively new to Chattanooga. And one week ago, she opened up her new business on Gunbarrel Road. Theta Therapy.

It’s sound therapy. An old, ancient trend that is gaining new popularity.

Kearns uses all types of instruments to help one relieve stress. To improve your mood, your blood pressure, your mental health. Think of healing purposes.

“We live in a noisy society. We have so much noise pollution. We don’t realize it. Ears are 80 percent of our stimulus. So at the very least, you can come here and take a break from all of that. You can get stress relief.”

Jennifer Kearns has the background for sound therapy. She has both a bachelors degree and masters degree in music performance. She was also an elementary music teacher in Las Vegas. As well as a broadway musician. And a yoga teacher.

Now, she wants to use all of her skills to simply help people. And it came pretty easy to her!

“I’ve been performing my whole life. When you get your degree, you learn all the instruments. It was more about acquiring the sounds. And learning what to do, And how to use the sounds. As well as learn the science behind it.”

To learn more, head to Jennifer’s website: theta therapy – dot – us. That’s where you can book an appointment.

And maybe, just maybe…unlock a different way to heal your mind, body and spirit.
